Many cases are confirming my assumptions of people seriously loosing the humanity if they once possessed it. Those who work very hard and for long hours are always the ones who are paid less and their plees are never met. Yes, the CEO deserves a good share of the cake because he too was involved in making shoprite the big successful store that it is now, but also, those who are still in possession of positions in the company , mostly the people lowest in the hierachy, must also get a taste of the cake too.
At a certain point in time , I thought people were just misusing strikes as a way to not only take a break from work but also to demand the impossible. But now, I realise that people are just trying to express themselves and demand what they believe they deserve. I hope negotiations between COSATU and Shoprite will succeed and little time will be wasted because time is money.
